Invinity is a vanadium flow battery company. We manufacture batteries for the large-scale energy storage requirements of businesses, industry, and electricity networks. Developed specifically for high-utilization applications, Invinity’s highly scalable, factory-built flow battery products make low-carbon renewable generation reliable and can run continually with no degradation, charging and discharging for over 25 years. Energy storage systems based on Invinity’s batteries are safe, reliable, and economical, and range in size from less than 250 kilowatt-hours to tens of megawatt-hours. With over 25 MWh of systems deployed or contracted to date across 50 sites in 14 countries, Invinity is active in all major global energy storage markets and has operations in Canada, the UK, the US, China, and South Africa.
Matt is a clean-tech entrepreneur and product developer, whose career spans pioneering work commercializing electrical energy storage, wastewater treatment, hydrogen generation and fuel cell vehicles. As Chief Commercial Officer at Invinity, Matt is responsible for the commercialization and deployment of Invinity’s groundbreaking energy storage solutions. Previously roles in his extensive experience in the energy storage industry include Co-Founder and President of Avalon Battery. Matt holds seven patents related to clean industrial technologies, a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of British Columbia, and a master’s degree in Engineering and Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
