This session will discuss the current state of energy storage, including deployments, codes & standards, recycling & disposal, and market dynamics. These topics are timely due to the continued growth and maturation of the energy storage market and the growing emphasis on the later project stages.  Some recently deployed projects and market developments will be reviewed.  The energy storage industry has grown significantly during the past several years and the focus now also includes operations and maintenance, as well as additional stakeholders.  For the continued growth and expansion of the market, stakeholders need to continue learning and working together to address deployment challenges.

Kevin Fok is Director of Operations and leads the team in the delivery, project execution, and operations & maintenance of battery energy storage systems for the electric grid. He has extensive experience in the renewable energy industry with roles in sales, business development, marketing, engineering, and project management spanning lithium-ion batteries, solar photovoltaics (PV), nickel-metal hydride batteries, fuel cells, and hydrogen storage. Mr. Fok is a co-inventor of 13 U.S. patents.
